"Life in the Fast Lane"

Intermittent Fasting Journal 31:  The best laid plans

Today was going to be an all day fast.  That was the plan.  But life happens and I had to go with the flow.  But I did manage to honor an intermittent fast by fasting from 6pm last night to noon today.  A total of 18 hours.

The fact is, any time you go long periods without eating you're not triggering an insulin response.  The more often we can do that, the better it is, at least for those of us who are insulin resistant.  So I choose to see today as a victory.

I did contemplate skipping dinner because it was late (too close to my bedtime) but I chose to eat.  Like I said, sometimes you have to go with it.

And the menu was not ketogenic by any stretch of the imagination.  Oh well.  A small blip overall.
